CREW Fort Worth Awards

CREW Fort Worth celebrates its members and the Tarrant County commercial real estate industry each year through its annual awards program, typically held in the Spring. Six awards are given annually: Susan A. Halsey Excellence in Leadership; Member of the Year; Carla Higgins CREW Future Leader of the Year; Partner of the Year; Project of the Year; and Deal of the Year.

Lifetime Achievement Award

In 2011, the Legacy of Leadership Committee (LLC) awarded its first Lifetime Achievement Award. The award will be given at the discretion of LLC with prior approval by the CREW Fort Worth Board of Directors, due to the benefits associated with the recognition. The core value of this prestigious award is to recognize excellence and lifetime achievements in the recipient’s professional and personal life; with emphasis on extraordinary leadership and commitments to the mission and endeavors of CREW Fort Worth, CREW Network and CREW Network Foundation. The honoree must have accomplished and personify the many qualities that distinguish CREW Members as elite professionals, having served CREW Fort Worth at the board level and attended a CREW Network Convention or Leadership Council Meeting. The honorees, themselves, serve as mentors, role models and demonstrate the limitless horizons that commitment and perseverance can achieve. The honorees must possess impeccable credentials.

Susan A. Halsey Excellence in Leadership

This award recognizes a CREW Member that is a role model in representing the core values of CREW Fort Worth and CREW Network, has shown a continuous and long-term dedication to the organization and its mission, and is a demonstrated leader in the commercial real estate industry. As of 2017, we are now accepting nominations for CREW Members that have previously been recognized as Member of the Year.

This award is presented in memory of Susan Halsey, a past president of CREW Forth Worth and a longtime member.

Member of the Year
This award was created to recognize extraordinary service to CREW Fort Worth for the applicable year by a CREW Full or Affiliate Member. The recipient has shown their commitment to CREW Fort Worth, is a person of honor and integrity who is a leader within the commercial real estate industry and for CREW. This person actively serves and is always a good representative of CREW Fort Worth within the community. As of 2011, we are no longer accepting nominations for repeat recipients.

Carla Higgins CREW Future Leader of the Year
This award recognizes a CREW Member with less than 10 years of real estate experience who has given extraordinary service to CREW Fort Worth for the applicable year. The recipient has shown their commitment to CREW Fort Worth, is a person of honor and integrity who is a leader within the commercial real estate industry and for CREW. This person actively serves and is always a good representative of CREW Fort Worth within the community. This award is provided in honor of Carla Higgins, a past president of this organization and a long time member. This award may not be given more than once to the same recipient.

This award was created to recognize long time and/or substantial monetary and non-monetary contributions by organizations that make it possible for CREW Fort Worth to achieve its mission to provide opportunities for networking, education, leadership development and civic/philanthropic involvement and that of CREW Network to provide opportunities that foster productive and supportive relationships and enhance personal and professional growth.

Project of the Year
This award is given to a project or development in Tarrant County that has a significant impact on the commercial real estate industry. Examples of significant impact include, but are not limited to, the project or development's innovation or creativity, potential or proven ability to incite other development, revitalization or economic development, or potential or proven ability to satisfy an unfulfilled need.

Deal of the Year

This award recognizes a real estate transaction during the applicable year that exemplified member-to-member business among CREW Fort Worth members. CREW Fort Worth's membership base spans all disciplines of commercial real estate, allowing members the ability to a deal from start-to-finish with other members. The award may be given based on the number of CREW Fort Worth members involved, or the meaningful business that was generated, whether through the size of the transaction, or the relationships that were fostered.

Legacy of Leadership Lone Star Award
This award was established by Cynthia Bailey & Barbara Fife as 2010 Co-Presidents of CREW Fort Worth. As Co-Presidents during the CREW Fort Worth's 25th Anniversary, their focus was leadership. This prestigious award recognizes extraordinary leadership and contribution of women. The honorees must be committed to empowering women in the real estate industry, dedicated to improving the way we work, play and live within our communities, state and country. At the heart of this award is the recognition of excellence. The honorees must well represent the core values of CREW Fort Worth, CREW Network, and CREW Network Foundation. The honorees themselves serve as important role models for our membership, both seasoned and future leaders, demonstrating the limitless horizons that commitment and perseverance can achieve. The honorees must possess impeccable credentials and be a recognized leader and mentor in her field. The award can be given annually at the discretion of the Legacy of Leadership Committee and the CREW Fort Worth Board of Directors. The honoree cannot be a CREW Fort Worth Member.

Corporate & Civic Leadership Award

In 2012 the Legacy of Leadership Committee created its prestigious Corporate Leadership award to recognize extraordinary leadership and contributions of men. This category has since been expanded to include Civic leaders as well. The honorees must be committed to empowering women in the real estate industry, dedicated to improving the way we work, play and live within our communities, state and country. At the heart of this award is the recognition of excellence. The honorees must well represent the core values of CREW Fort Worth, CREW Network and CREW Network Foundation. The honorees themselves serve as important role models for our membership, both seasoned and future leaders, demonstrating the limitless horizons that commitment and perseverance can achieve. The honorees must possess impeccable credentials and be a recognized leader and mentor in his field.
